Agency Consultant - Applied Epic

Job Description

The Applied Epic Agency Consultant is responsible for delivering expert consulting services to insurance agencies using the Applied Epic agency management system. This role supports agencies that are migrating to Applied Epic and those seeking to optimize how they use the platform to support their operational and business goals.

The Consultant’s primary responsibility is to understand each client’s agency structure, priorities, and challenges, then recommend and implement system configurations, workflows, and best practices that align with those objectives. In addition, the Consultant will assess the fit of KiteTech’s consulting services for agency prospects and recommend appropriate engagement structures and deliverables.

This role requires more than technical expertise. Successful consultants lead engagements, build credibility with agency leadership, and keep projects moving, even when priorities shift or resistance arises. This position is well suited for someone who takes ownership of outcomes, not just assigned tasks.

Expectations / Responsibilities

Assess insurance agency prospect fit and recommend appropriate consulting engagement and deliverables to meet the needs of the prospect
Independently manage consulting engagements to successful completion and client satisfaction
Deliver consulting services including management recommendations, workflow development, Epic system configurations, and end-user training
Maintain real-time documentation of consulting activities to support progress tracking and accurate client billing time documentation of consulting activities to support progress tracking and accurate client billing
Participate in webinars and other marketing-oriented activities to promote KiteTech consulting services and build brand awareness
Maintain strong working knowledge of Applied Epic, agency management trends, integrations, and system updates
Work with management and sales administration to develop statements of work and deliverables for consulting engagements
This is a remote position
Occasional travel is required for marketing events or larger consulting opportunities

Non-Negotiable Requirements

3-5 years of experience consulting on Applied Epic or serving as the Applied Epic subject matter expert within an agency of 20 or more users
Proficiency with standard office applications
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
Professional written and verbal communication
Excellent organizational, presentation, and client service skills
Dedicated, distraction- free workspace with reliable hard-wired high-speed internet
Comfort using all aspects of virtual meeting tools (camera use, meeting platforms, self-service scheduling) to maximize the virtual consulting experience for clients
Self-motivated, adaptable and accountable

Preferred Candidate Requirements

8+ years’ experience in the insurance agency industry
P&C Insurance license or the ability to obtain one
Applied Epic accounting experience
Management or supervisory experience
Experience with a proven process for building trust and confidence of management personnel within independent insurance agencies
Bachelor’s degree

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80,000 – 100,000 based on experience
Health Insurance: KiteTech pays 80% of total premium for employee and family
